Rug from the Taznakht region in Morocco, circa 2005. Features traditional Amazigh motifs in a darkened blue that frame an orange field reminiscent of the local landscape in the south of the Atlas. A true room maker.
Amazigh rugs are originally handmade by Amazigh women, who have learnt the skill of weaving from their mothers and grandmothers. Each piece is unique and carries the personal story of its weaver.
