Very rare vintage Feuerhand road worker lantern, originally designed for use with a tea light candle or small wax candle. These lanterns were traditionally used as safety lighting during roadworks and construction projects.
This is an early and uncommon example in a beautifully aged yet fully functional condition. Most surviving models are fitted with rectangular lenses, while this version features the much rarer rounded globe-style lens design. It also includes a side latch next to the locking mechanism.
The lantern is fitted with orange plastic lenses and shows authentic signs of age, including rust and wear, giving it a wonderful industrial character and vintage charm.
A fantastic addition to any antique lantern or industrial collection, but also perfectly suitable for atmospheric lighting in the home, garden, camping trips, or holiday settings.
