The Low Rider is a genuine Monkey's Fist knot with an eye-spliced end, plus a hand sewn leather grip... which is then whipped and finished with 2 Turk's Head knots. It's built from the same vintage New England rope that our bag lanyards are made from, and it measures approximately 15-inches end to end.
What's it for?
In the old days, the Low Rider would have been used in hand-to-hand combat aboard the ship, as well as providing concealment for small valuables buried inside the Monkey's Fist.
Today it's just for fun! Display it at the home or office, or attach it to your ditty bag for a bit of extra swagger.
